OGI’s capability falls into three distinct sectors:
Construction Dewatering
OGI’s combined apporach of designing dewatering and pressure relief systems, together with managing the system installation, ensures that the construction site is dewatered to a safe and stable level to allow continuous excavation. OGI’s systems also allow for the groundwater to be abstracted with a sufficiently low silt content for the disposal of water directly to a water course. For further information click here.
Ground Source Energy Heating & Cooling
OGI specialises in providing large quantities of energy to a building where there is relatively small land area. OGI’s systems can be integrated with both conventional heating systems and other renewable technologies. For more information click here.
Groundwater and Ground Heat Computer Modelling
OGI has considerable and extensive experience in the computer modelling of the movement of Groundwater and Heat within the ground. Benefits of this capability include the ability to calculate required pumping rates of groundwater to lower the water table, to calculate the pressures on a sheet pile wall during excavation, and to establish the sustained heat that can be extracted from the ground to heat buildings. Geotechnical modelling
OGI has capability and experience within modelling and providing design inputs for the calculation of earth slopes, retaining structures and other construction-related effects.
Both standard engineering methods and state-of the art numerical methods are available to achieve an optimum safe and standard compliant design.
Linking the design of temporary structures with the design of construction dewatering together with the on-site observational approach taken, OGI can deliver additional benefits. For more information click here.
